hi.
i'm french .
i want to stay all summer in new york,to take pictures.

i'm looking for the cheapest room around.
i want to stay up to1 (or two)monthes.

so if you know a cheap hotel in your neigborhood,or somebody renting a room(just between him and myself),
well,let me know.

i say that because from france you see only medium and high prices hotels,as they pay to be in guides,or have an internet site, but last time i was in new york,i spotted 30 dollars rooms on time square!!!(42 w st)

so...i ask to you(i will be one of you this summer)

kind regards ;-)

$30 rooms are impossible. And you wouldnt want to stay there.Your best bet is to find a furnished room to sublet, with roomates. Some college students go home in June-and rent out their rooms in their apartments for the summer. New York Universtiy, Columbia University are two big schools. Another place to find listings for room rentals- furnished sublets is the Village Voice- an excellent source. villagevoice.com look under classifieds, rooms to share, sublets, furnished rooms. http://billburg.com is another site for rooms to sublet in Brooklyn- only two stops on the subway from Manhattan. You may want to even look into New Jersey. Hoboken, Jersey City are all a 15 minute train ride from NYC near major transportation-no car needed. The village voice is your best chance. Or just come to NYC, stay in a YMCA/YWCA- they offer foriegners rooms.
