Sorry, I researched so much on it and I still can't find the answer. I'd really appreciate it if you help me !!! =)

Winnipeg is a typical Canadian city and is very similar demographically to other Canadian and US cities. The big difference (by far) between it and where you are is the weather. :)

Religion? Hmmm I would think you'd find a mixture, like any North American city.
Winnipeg is the capital city of Manitoba, and here is a link to the Manitoba website: http://www.gov.mb.ca/index.html The New Democratic Party of Manitoba (not connected to the US Democratic party at all) is the party in power at the moment. Winnipeg would have it's own Municipal government, not associated with a political party. Here's a site for Winnipeg: http://www.winnipeg.ca/interhom/

Hi there. Winnipeg is predominantly Christian. We have people from all over the world living here. There are a large number of Jewish people, we have Buddhists, Hindus, and guess what? We also have Muslims to round out the religous flavour of this great city! :)

I'm married to a Canadian guy from "The Peg" and we've visited there alot (but not as much as I'd like!) so let me try to answer: there ARE a wide variety of religions, but it is notable that there is a really large percentage of Mennonite and Mennonite Brethren churches there, which can be compared to Baptists perhaps but with a "peace" (anti-gun, anti-war) platform. They recently had elections and there is a GREAT deal of participation in the election process. Being from the states, what I find most different government-wise is that there are at least three parties; and, of course, the health care system is government run, so everyone gets health care free, and the healthcare positions are government jobs.

Religion depends, I would say that Christians are nominally the dominant religion, with Anglican and Catholicism being the primary denominations, but it is a multi-ethnic community, so there is a strong jewish, buddhist, moslem, faith as well. YOu will find that there is very little in the way of friction between the faiths, it's very laid back.
The government is a representative democracy (obviously), based on the parliamentary system with a municipal government recieving its funds from a provincial government. The leader of the party with the most seats is the "Premier" of the province. The current government (my politics is not up to date I'm afraid) is the New Democratic Party, which has a nominal socialist agenda.
