| Padova | The Scrovegni Chapel Posted: Sat April 17, 2004 10:54 PM UTC
Hi guys,
Looks the Scrovegni Chapel open until 10:00pm. I want to arrive Padua around 7:00pm and booked at 8:00pm. I know I must collect their pre-paid booked tickets at the Eremitani Museum ticket office 1 hour before their assigned time of entry. The Eremitani Museum ticket office still open until 7:00pm? Looks it's Catch-22. Any body can help me? Tanks a lot, david |

...anothere useful tip; when in Padua, visit the Caffè Pedrocchi. An ancient cafe in the centre of the town.
A kind of museum. I don't know about the timetable of the Scrovegni Chapel. It is not far from the train station. Ciao!

Hi David,
The information you have is correct. You must exchange your booking receipt for a ticket at the ticket office in the Civic Museum, one hour prior to your appointed time. You then go to the actual chapel 10 minutes before your slotted time. Once you're admitted, you enter a 'compensation' room for 15 minutes to establish the proper humidity levels. This process is to protect the art work inside. This room can only handle 25 people at a time, so they are very diligent in maintaining the start times. However, if you book a 9 pm showing, you can exchange only '30' minutes prior to your slotted time. Either way, you sure are cutting it fine. What if the train/flight is delayed? I wonder if a e-mail ticket could be issued to you if you're paying by credit card. What month are you arriving? Pa (mapakettle)

Sorry, all the info I can find indicates the ticket office is open M-F (9 am to 7pm), Sat (9am-1pm), closed Sun.
