Hello,

I live near castle donnington, and unfortuantely, accomodation is thin on the ground.

I assume you will be going to one of either Download Music Fesitval or a motorsport event at Donnington Park? (perhaps I am wrong)

If you are going to be staying during a weekend, i suggest you book as soon as possible - for any event in the area the places fill up soon...

http://www.parkfarmhouse.co.uk/ is In CD - and is perfectly hospitable...but slightly over priced

The Donington Manor Hotel High St, Castle Donington, Derby, Derbyshire DE74 2PP has a lot of character, and a fantastic restaurant, but isn't cheap...

The Church View Hotel 73, Clapgun St, Castle Donington, Derby, Derbyshire DE74 2LF is a small, but pleasant place with great service

The airport, being VERY close also has a Holiday Inn and Thistle hotel, but expect to pay over a fiver (£5+) for taxi's to the event (unless you are driving)

As CD is close to the M1 there is also a travelodge, and various other 'chain' hotels are in the area.

The numbers of all these places are on www.yell.com if you need any other info.

Nearby towns and villages also have accomodation (especially on race weekends these also get busy!) such as Kegworth, Ashby, Hathern, Loughobrough, Coalville etc. I can get more info if needed.
