| Funchal | flowers and scenery in Madera in September Posted: Wed April 7, 2004 04:20 PM UTC
What is the situation as regards the above in mid/late Sepember? Is it still hot then? How relaxed/formal is the island?
Does the venicular run every day? Thanks Brianlb |

Hi!
At Madeira Island, especially in Funchal you don't have to worry about the weather is September, as it is usually warm. Generally speaking the atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed where you expect it to be, so dress casually and enjoy the weather, the food and the local wine. Of course, don't expect to get accepted in the Casino wearing shorts and t-shirt! Alberto

Madeira is a floating garden and you can see flowers all year round. In September the temperatures are still very high 30-24ª C around and night around 21ºC. The venicular runs every day.
The island is relaxed unless you go to a Hotel for dinner there you need formal. Regards
