I know that June is when the turtles start to come ashore to lay their eggs, but we are going in May and taking out turtle-mad grandson, is there any chance of us seeing a turtle ?

also are there small boats that you can drive yourself available for hire on Zante ?

Hi yes you will love zante i have been there most years love it, regarding the turtles, there is a organised trip that you can go on which is very interesting, regarding hireing your own boat pedlo ect, this can be dangerous to the turtles as sometimes the pedals can hit there head and they avoid pedlos ect, everytime i have been on the trip i have always seen turtles, best place to see them is kalamaki that is were all the nests are on the beach, they are on other beaches also. what part of zante are you going, i am sure you will enjoy it i love it i go every year, but this year i am getting married so we are off to somewhere else.

Hi , we went to zante ( kalamaki) the first two weeks of may , the weather was fantastic and there were lots of turtles , so your grandson wont be disapointed . Have a great holiday , Tracy
