Myself and partner are planning to go to Antigua in June and hopefully some other islands for three months, we are both students and on a very tight budget, does anyone know any very cheap accomodation? ie. hostels or the like?

If you email me at kingconquerer@virtualtourist.com, I know of a lady who has rooms (seperate from her house) for rent. I am a Peace Corps volunteer here in Antigua....
I have to call her 1st and see if they are still available

Apparantly not as good as it used to be but great place nevertheless. I stayed there in feb- also on a tight budget, not cheap exactly but at least it's not a resort. Really nice atmosphere, great staff, but book/call beforehand because there's only about 16 rooms. Great beach too. Sorry but i can't find the email address at the moment- i'm sure you could find it on the web. (Try laterooms.com)

Hey,
I am in the same boat so to speak. I have visited Antigua many times (actually I just returned from a two week trip last week). I say I am in the same boat as a girlfriend and I are planning to backpack through the Caribbean and some of Central America starting in June or July. I have never been to any other islands other than ANU but I am sure it will be quite the adventure. If you have received any relavent information as to cheap accomodations in Antigua or any other useful information re: other islands please write back and share your findings.
