Hello! Wondering if there is anymore info out there about the boat tours? My fiance and I were there last year and we speak limited German. Is there a way to get on and off the boats as you travel up/down stream? We are returning after our wedding in May this year and would like to explore a lot more than we were able to the first time.

some of the larger boat companies use to sell one week passes that you could use for passage on most of there ships on the rhine ,mosel and danube.
just like a rail pass with the train. only thing is some required that you make a reservation for each trip on each ship you plan to use 20 hours in advance. so once you stop at a place in the morn you need to decide real fast if you plan to stay here pass noon the next day or not.if you go to a information site for one of the large towns on the river you are interrested you may find something. look here for the links ( www.towd.com )
