River Cruises

Hi all
off to Prague tomorrow for 5 nights
Great info here and some really handy restaurant tips have gone into my custom travel guide :-))
Interested to hear from any who have done a River Cruise though in Prague and their experience - good or bad. Is it just a round trip or can you get off at points and rejoin later??

I was over in Prague last weekend, and went on one of the river cruises, thought it was pretty poor. It cost about 400K, with a minibus taking you from the Republic square to the riverside. It just did very slow laps up and down the river (no opportunity to get off and rejoin later) and then back to where you started. Though there was coffee and cake included in the price (if that makes any difference to you?). After the boat the guide will take you through the Jewish quarter and up to the Old Square.

We were in Prague last October and went on the river cruise, we found it much cheaper to do it on your own not with a tour guide, and you only go to the exact same place and back for about half the cost.The boat we went on was really nice and you could have food and drinks on board at extra cost of course, also you could sit inside if the weather is cold which we did on the way back. I found it a nice way to spend an hour to rest your feet if nothing else. Hope you enjoy your trip as much as we did.

thanks guys for that info - sounds like we will do the trip ourselves - we can do our own walking tour I think. I'll check your page for sure Doug -hope the weather's ok for us.
