I think I'll be there for 4 days in early May and was curious cafes you recommend or maybe places for good views of the city, best museums? What do you recommend?

Visit the Cappella degli Scrovegni; By Giotto and the museum near it.
Prato della Valle. A huge square with many statues. La Basilica del Santo. Saint Antony... Caffe Pedrocchi. An old cafè; now a museum. Some four or five rooms. Ciao!

Agree with previous two VTer's suggestions. See our Padova page for 'local' information normally not found in travel books.
You will love Padova, my favourite city in Veneto Region. Well, maybe after Venice for sightseeing, but to live day to day...... #1.
