Hi, I am looking at possibility of teaching Nursing for a month at Chengde College.
Is it a nice city ? What would the weather be like in early fall ? Would it be safe for a 42 year old women to explore on her own ? Of course i have lot's more questions....but i don't want to burden you :) |

Yes, it's a nice small city with Gardens, small mountains and rivers. As it's located in the North China, it would be a little bit cold in early fall. The temperature in September may be around 10 celsius. Difference in temprature between day and night might reach 10 degree.
It is safe there. Since the places are all near the city, better ride a bike to wherever you are interested in.
