| Amalfi | blue grotto and capri Posted: Sun March 14, 2004 12:43 AM UTC
My friend and I only have a day (from noon till late) to see capri. We really want so see the Blue Grotto. We will take the ferry from Sorrento to Capri but how do we get to see the Blue Grotto?
Also, would anyone know of any guided tour that does not start at 7 in the morning but has flexible timings to capri? Thanks. |

it is luck of the draw to be able to see the blue grotto. it is only open for tourists when it is 'weather permitting'. i was lucky to be able to see it, but have spoken to other people who were not so lucky. it is worth seeing, absolutely gorgoeus aqua blue waters! however in saying that, it takes so long to get into the blue grotto! you can take a boat or bus to the entry. but there are very long queues to get in. after visiting the blue grotto i didn't get back into town until about 1pm so half the day was gone and didn't get to explore capri to the fullest with the limited time i had.
