Wondering if anyone has taken the bus from Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta. Would like information if you have.

Yeah, I have. Sadly, there's not really much I could tell you, since it was 2 and a half years ago. It took about 6 hours I think. Or maybe that was the whole journey. I actually started out in Morelia, stopped and changed coaches at Guadalajara. I *think* it was something like 3 hours from Morelia to Guadalajara and 6 from there to PV. I took ETN - ("La Linea Más Comoda!") You pay a fair bit extra to go on their coaches but it's well worth it, especially for long journeys. Nice big comfy seats, loads of legroom, free drink and sandwich... Best coaches I've ever been on, anyway. Apparently the two main coaches you could go on are ETN and Primera Plus - their websites are at www.etn.com.mx and www.primeraplus.com.mx but neither are working right now.
