Visa forms

We're going to Goa in November/December 2004 (from the UK). I received some Visa application forms today & noticed that they ask for 2 contacts in India in case of problems. I assume there is an easy answer to this but could anyone tell me what to do?

Hi Janette
You do not have to fill that section in, however I guess most people use there Hotel as contact details

I strongly suggest that you provide atleast one contact number (if you are a UK citizen, give the number of the UK Embassy in any of the major metros in India). This is to make sure that if there happens to be any problems, you could be atleast referred to the concerned Embassy which can provide help. This is not a mandatory section but any information on this would be useful.

Hi Janette

Was at the Indian high Commision yesterday and asked about this a I was getting a visa. It is just bsically for anybody who might be staying with friends or relatives in India. I left it blank and there was no problems.

We don't go to Goa until November, Nick, so I was going to download the forms nearer the date. However, when I got the travel company's confirmation paperwork they also sent visa forms for all of us, which is when I saw the section for contact names in Goa.
