| Mildura | Things to do in Mildura Posted: Sun March 7, 2004 09:54 AM UTC
Hej Everyone,
I have a question regarding a good route from Melbourne to Adelaide. Would it be a good route to travel from Melbourne---Great Ocean Rd up to Port Fairy ---- North through Dunkeld, Halls Gap, Dimboola --- fro here i am not sure whether to travel west on the A8 to Adelaide, or to keep on north up to Mildura, stay there from 1 or 2 days and then travel trough the Barossa valley to Adelaide ? It sounds like there are some good things to do in the Mildura area but i am not sure whether the alternative (A8) would also be great. Please help :) Samuel |

hey there,
the great ocean road is a really beautiful drive and you will come across some fantastic landscape, forest cliffs ocean beach and all that good stuff........... I haven't been to Mildura or the Barossa but i know for a fact that it's a great place to go and see and i'm sure you'l be happy to have gone there. The barossa is a famous grape growing region so you could even pick up some picking work if you're interested....... i think the alternative road to Adelaide would eb less interesting than coming down from the Barossa Take it easy billy

I have a suggestion - go along the great ocean road, then go up to the grampians, but then go back to the coast to Mt Gambier. Great town, lots of things to do. My page on the town is not complete so if you want to know anything please email me. Al

Hi, go to Adelaide one way then come back the other. Both ways have the same opportunities, except maybe for a river cruise at Midura. One fact though, there is not a lot, (of anything), between the Victorian border and Adelaide.
