We are thinking of visiting Bellation in August 04 - considering last year's summer, we wish to stay at a lake view hotel with airconditioning - moderate to superior rating. Do other members have suggestions?

Good thinking, I was there last year in late June and it was HOT!!
If you go, and want a different swimming location than the one north of town, there is a public beach(no sand but rocks!) about a mile or two south of town next to a large villa with public gardens, sorry I forgot the name. But there is a small tiki bar with locals hanging out there and has great view looking towards the town center. Here are a few sites that I found while researching my visit.
