Where is the cheapest (but clean) place to stay in L.A.?
Is there any backpacker dorm there?
Know that there're lotsa beautiful casino hotels, but I'm in a tight budget... :(

I found *Pacific Sands Motel* from the net 2 days ago, It's located in Ocean Ave, Santa Monica. Room rate is $55.00 per night. I think this is a good location but no exact idea yet from the motel.

It was the cheapest rate I found on the net and decided to book , We gonna have one room with 2 beds maximum 4 persons allowed with the same rate!

So, Yubert..I picked up the right place and hopefully a good one, well..we only need the place to sleep and hang out in the day.

Vigi, when are you coming to L.A?

I'll be in SF between Mar28-Apr11. Have not decide when exactly to visit LA yet... perhaps one day wake up I feel like going down to Universal Studio, then I will go.

Yubert, do I have to book the bus in advance? Or I can just pack & go any day I like?

Hi Vigi -

The Santa Monica HI hostel is in a great location (only 2 blocks from the beach in a nice part of town) - I'd advise you to book it in advance though.

A few years ago I got to LA without a reservation and it was full - I ended up staying in a slightly dodgy place near Venice Beach - still, I survived!

Check out the webpage at:

Cheers,

Jeremy
