Colonia del Sacramento day trip from BA

Hi VTers
My wife, 5 yr old boy and I are in BA for 10 days and want to visit Colonia. Is it feasible to doColonia as a day trip using the hyrdrofoil? How can I hook up with someone to get the native eye view of this great old city?

Yes, Buquebus ferry takes you there. I did not do this trip when I was in BsAs for lack of time.
Ask VT member acemj (Mark). He has done this trip.

It's a perfect place to go with your wife, one of the most romantic places in Uruguay.
A day is enough, you can visit everything.

I think it is feasible... I lived in BA as I was a child and I remember the many times we did the one-day trip to Colonia.
