Hello!
The question is, do we can get visas for Syria at the Turkish Syrian border? We are the family and we want travel by car from Slovenia through Turkey to Syria. If anyone knows anything about Syrian borders, please tell or write to me. Thanks |

Hi,
My advice is to get a visa before your trip...I have tried once to get a visa at the borders from Jordan to Syria and it was impossible. Enjoy your trip Marianna

Probably best to get one before you leave, but travelling from Iskenderun to Alepo, I was able to get visa at the border without any problems but other travellers did have a lot of hassle, think it depends on which passport you have.

I recommend getting the visa in Istanbul. It is easy enough and Istanbul is pleasant enough for a couple of days while the visa is being processed.
I got a double entry transit visa there this time and it was free. It gave me 3 days for each transit - in and out of Lebanon. I do however recommend a month or so in Syria as it has some fantastic scenery and the people are very friendly. Safe travels, Pete

Hello
If you are meeting with a tour agent in Syria you can get on entry, but if not, you have to get ahead of time( that is how it is for US citizens). Also, you cannot have any Israeli stamps in passport ...Syria rigidly enforces this ( no prior travel to Israel )... So i would advise getting at embassy first. thanks!
