Can anybody share their experiences at this park? Posted: Tue February 24, 2004 10:32 PM UTC
I had originally intended to come to this park in June 2003, but was delayed by some events. I live in Houston and know the drive can be quite aways. If anybody knows what there is to do out there as far as recreational and outdoor activities I would appreciate that.

Well, go to my Big Bend page! I love Western Texas, and especially Big Bend. For once, one can hike and enjoy nature in Texas. Most everywhere else in Texas it is private land, and one cannot get in!. Big Bend is beautiful. As long as you do not mind desert, remoteness and heat (except in winter), you will love it. Go there!

By the way, on the long drive from Houston to Big Bend (10 hours minimum), stop at Seminole Canyon State Park. You can camp there and the indian cave painting are really cool.
