| Cáceres | Caceres? Posted: Fri February 20, 2004 11:09 AM UTC
Hi everyone! I am thinking of traveling to Carceres and Merida in May when I return to Spain with my Mum this time.We were wondering whether it would be better to travel by train or bus. Can we break our journey and get off and look around other cities (is it worth it) and what stations do we begin our journey from in Madrid? We are heading for Lisbon and have 4-5 days to enjoy the countryside and some history. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated., even if they mean a change to our itinerary. Gracias!

There are more buses than trains and i think is better if you want to stop , for example in trujillo. I don't know about the price but i remember it was like 13 € trujillo to madrid(we went by car but kelly took this single ticket). The bus station in Madrid is Estacion Sur -Mendez Alvaro Metro-
i was in extremadura in december adn we like it a lot... you find some info in my extremadura page (it's not finish, well in fact i'm starting it) but you find teh link of extremadura tourist site and some info. are you going to the womad, the music festival in cacares?
