Hi. My boyfriend & I are planning to stay in Sigiriya for a few days & wanted to then make our way down to Arugam Bay. Does anyone have any advice on the best route to get there? I was thinking of going through & sopping overnight in Batticaloa but haven't seen much on this part of Sri Lanka & if it's safe traveling through there?

Hello,
There is quite a distance to travel between Sigiriya and Arugam Bay. Yes, you can do it via Batticaloa but the roads are bad and don't even think of doing it without your own transport.
