Suggestions on what to do

Hi all!

Me and my wife have finally decided to go to Colombia for our vacations. We will be staying two nights in Cartagena and then about a week in San Andres Island.

What are the must-dos in both places? How would you organize your stay there? In Cartagena we will be staying inside the walled city, and in San Andres in an All Inclusive hotel.

All suggestions are welcome!

With only one day in Cartagena I would stay mostly in the Old Town. It is a very nice place to stroll around in, visit a few churches and museums (the Gold Museum and Palacio de la Inquisición). I would visit Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas too. In the evening, at sunset, it is very nice to have a drink at Café del Mar, situated on the walls.

I've just got back from 6 weeks in Cartagena. You must check out the neighbourhood of Getsemini. The best advice on what to do and where to go I found on this website dedicated to the city: www.ticartagena.com

Hi all! Sadly I had to cancel my trip to Colombia! Our agent messed up and could not get us a hotel in San Andres Island. I finally got it but then we could not afford the whole trip.... so maybe next time.
