Hi!

Is there a site specifically for rentals in Paris? I have tried VRBO and Home Away but there is not much available.

There are lots of rental sites for Paris. We've used ParisAttitude with great success. Here's their web address: http://www.parisattitude.com/

If you rent for 30 days or longer there is an agent fee. Most vacationers rent for a week or two so there will be no fee. This is stated on their web site, but many have missed the information so this is a reminder.

If you type Paris apartments into the VT Search Window above, I'm sure you will find many more rental web sites.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Will try both of your suggestions. Everything we looked at seemed to be booked for the beginning of June. Hope it was just the small pool of rentals we were looking at.

www.housetrip.com has a lot of appartments in Paris. They are not an agency but a platform for agencies and individual owners.

als booking.com and halldis.com. There is also a French rental site called homelidays.com but I personally would not recommend them. We have used them in the past and they are the only outfit with which we have not been entirely satisfied.

You can search it directly here by putting vacation rental agencies in Paris and Tripadvisor would show you a lot of results.

however as usual I would definitely recommend the one which I used for renting an apartment, Lodjee(http://www.lodjee.com), it was a small apartment near Eiffel tower with 2 BR and a small balcony and lobby.

I have had great success with vacationinparis.com. No hidden surprises and the apartments were exactly as represented by the photos.

UsaParis is a Paris rental company. I used their services for a September-October 2011 stay. Their contract required a $500 security deposit that was to be accounted for and returned within 30 days of our stay. Despite numerous requests for the accounting/money absolutely nothing has been given about the apartment or return my money. We are senior citizens and left the apartment in perfect condition. 4 months has gone by. The contract has an arbitration provision for disputes. UsaParis refuses to cooperate insetting that up. I have documents that show each of the facts stated in this answer.

I second http://www.vacationinparis.com/ I haven't stayed in the apartment yet (I go back to Paris in December) but VIP has some really great ratings and so far all of my dealings with them have been problem free.
