Is there really a train from Podgorica to Shkodra?
Posted: Tue February 14, 2012 06:26 PM UTC
Hello all
I can't find anything on the internet to tell me if there's a train that runs from Podgorica to Shkodra?
If there is no train, then what's the best way to get to Shkodra?
Thank you!
DG

One word NO!! There are railway tracks but no train. Take taxi to village of Tuzi ( crossing) cross over and pick up furgons to Shkodra on the other side.
There are bus/ furgons twice daily from Ulcinj to Shkoder, but you need to go south..
Unfortunately these are your two only options...

We did it the other year by bus Podgorica - Ulcinj and a few days later we took the twice daily bus from there to Shkoder. It was a normal big bus. I think it cost about 6 Euro. In Shkoder a minibus was waiting for those who wanted to continue to Tirana.
