In the land of bumper stickers ...
If, say, you were to borrow a friend's car, do you check the bumperstickers you will be adorning as you drive off, or do you ignore it?

I once had to tell an employee to remove a political bumper sticker from his car because he was going to be driving a job candidate around. Another employee was shocked that I had the "b.a.l.l.s" to do this but I found the bumper sticker quite offensive and felt that a job candidate might react the same way. I told him he could put it back on after the interview.

My husband once volunteered to take a relative's car into the shop for her. On his way he was annoyed that so many drivers seemed to be beeping their horns. It wasn't until he got out of the car that he saw the bumper sticker: Honk If You Love Jesus.

LOL yes just what I was thinking of. Driving along and wondering why people were either honking or gesturing you :-))
Good call Kathy, I think that is important.

I can't remember last time I saw a bumper sticker here. It's at least unusual. I'm not sure why, but it could be most think it's a bit tacky lol

I noticed about a week into a long road trip that the old truck I was driving had a sticker that said "if you don't like abortions, don't have one". I was nearly run off the road in some places and got lots of waves in others.
Since then, I've paid a little more attention to what I may be inadvertently advertising. Not because of the message itself, but rather more specifically because of where I will be taking that message.

Hey Dave, that was exactly the situation I was asking about. Especially if you were getting attention (good andor bad) without knowing which messages you were touting :-)
