Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has been to Chiang Mai in February and what the weather is like there in mid Feb.. I wont be trekking just chilling out in the city and relaxing.
If you have any suggestions or helpful hints I would love to hear them, thank you.

I was there in March and it's (theoretically) Hot season. There are three seasons: cool, hot and rainy. The cool season is from Dec to end of February and you can wait perfect weather, chilly, temperatures 25-30C and about 20 on nights. All-weather gear is still recommended.

HI Buddy !

The most popular time for visiting Chiang Mai is the cool season, which runs from December to the end of February. It is in fact pleasantly chilly in the evenings, and if you are planning on visiting Chiang Mai at this time of year, it would be wise to bring all-weather gear along; particularly if you intend hiring a motorcycle to get around, or going on a mountain trek. However, don't leave out your summer clothes, as midday temperatures can climb well into the 30s (Celsius)

The weather starts heating up in Chiang Mai around early February, and by mid-March, the nippy nights of December are nothing but a pleasant memory, with daytime maximums regularly reaching 40°C..

Have a wonderful journey.

We can attest to the "hot" season starting in early March when we were there. 40C in the shade at noon. February sounded a lot more pleasant, but unfortunately, March was the only option for us..

It is the best time of the year for you if you prefer warm weather as it is not cold but also not too hot for you. It is the end of winter. I love Chiang Mai too.
You will love it.

Hi,

Mid February is a great time of the year to visit, but the weather is not guaranteed! Last March and April were not as the same as previous years, it was chilly on a night and the day time temperatures were down.

Enjoy Chiang Mai - I do!
