If I have to pick TWO - Melaka, Genting, Bukit Tinggi ....
Posted: Wed January 25, 2012 05:32 AM UTC
My family is coming, my dad and mom, 68 and 65 years old respectively. My sister and his boyfriend and my nieces, two 12 years old girls.

Where do you recommend, we go to on a DAY TRIP?. Bearing in mind that my parents will appreciate history and culture more but can be easily tired. Also a consideration is the budget..

Please recommend your top two.. we have an extra day and if my parents are upto it then we're goin gto have another out of KL trip. :)

We visited KL late Nov 2011 and took a day trip tour up to Bukit Fraser (Frasers Hill Station)approx 100km from Kl and very different, it is where the Colonies escaped the heat. We loved it, you are welcome to view my page.

We also did a day trip to Melaka, also excellent and full of history from Portuguese, Dutch and British periods, have also started a page.

I went to Genting Highlands during a visit in 2000, but to commercial for me.

You have both your parents and they are 68 & 65 respectively, you can forget about Bukit Tinggi. Then you left only two places to choose. Genting - its a theme park and casino, where else Malacca you have culture & history. Wish you a happy holiday.

Definitely Genting and Malacca!
Forget about Bukit Tinggi, it is a scam, too hot to be a hill resort, supposed to be a themed European resort, but you can't find the atmosphere there.
Food outlets limited and expensive.
Never go there - you will regret if you do.
