Malaysia	Snorkelling Malaysia March Posted: Wed January 25, 2012 01:18 AM UTC Where is the best place to visit in Malaysia in March, for out of this world snorkelling, great food, also maybe to see the orangutans? I know desintations are affected by monsoon seasons etc. Tavelling with two kids, 7 and 10. I can't advise you on Sabah (where the orang utans habitat is) but your best bet for snorkelling in March would be one of the Langkawi islands (not the main one) and you can go to Orang Utan Island in Bukit Merah if your kids just want to see Orang Utans - they are not natural in Peninsular Malaysia, though, and are, in essence, in captivity on the island.. But you will see them via cages which cage us, not them! ;-)

Visit Kota Kinabalu in Sabah. I simply love this place because of the mountain and beach combination. See the orangutans at Lok Kawi Wildlife Park and go island hopping at Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. It is easy and you can choose the islands to visit the price is so affordable. People from KK are very friendly just ask directions to where the Tourism Board Centre where you can get more of information about sabah they will give you brochures and maps for free! The backpacker hotels are really good and clean. Shangri-la hotel is famous and they have a beautiful beach front which is more or less 2 km.
