I took my rock guitar playing grandson to it back in 2007 and he enjoyed it - yes there are lots of songs. The plot isn't much but I thought it was pretty funny. They had a curtain call at the end where the actual guitar players took a bow.

I've been a Queen fan since I was a kid and I loved "We Will Rock You." The storyline is a thin and a bit silly, as it is with all the shows like that where they try to incorporate the music into the storyline (Mamma Mia, Rock of Ages, etc)but if the singers are good then you should enjoy it if you are a fan of the music. The crowd really gets into it and sings along and it is a good time if you like that sort of thing.

I've gotten my tickets at the 1/2 price TKTS booth but there's always a chance it won't show up there or that your tickets will be fairly far back. So if you really want to go, booking in advance at a discount isn't a bad idea

Broadway Box has some discounted tickets (I'm guessing your prices are in AUD not pounds?) and you can see the seats you'll be getting

Here are some currents reviews from people, not critics, who oftentimes I suspect aren't real people ;-)

It's been running for ages and ages, 2002 I think, so its obviously doing something right (did some work on the production, but its that far back I can't remeber the exact date)...I don't like Queen's music myself but can assure you the downstage lift/revolving platform/trap mechanism is masterpiece of enginering design.

i went a month ago...i wished our audience sang to the music..it might have livened it up a bit. I only know some Queen and was not overly impressed with the show. the story line was Thin. But the stage stuff was really good. So if you like Queen, Go. I went because a lot of people told me it was good ( and i live in New Zealand) there was some funny bits (but not enuf for me) there was definitely lots of songs. While you are at west end...see the Lion King and Les Mes...the cast in them are fabulous!
