My family and our neighbors are going on a cruise in a couple of months on RCI line. We are going to Ochos Rios and have already done the Dunn's River Falls. We want to go to a beach locally. Are there any that we could go to instead of having to book through the cruise line and how do we get their?

You can go to Reggae beach orthe beach behind Island Village (where Margaritaville is). A taxi can get you to those or you might even be able to walk (not sure where your port is).
...or you can get a driver to pick you up and take you away from Ochi to one of the many lovely beaches east of there.

You might have a look at the boards over on www.cruisecritic.com for some more sugggestions, the folks out there rarely take ship excursions and you may find some other ideas.
