Rocket Booster returning

Tonight I saw a Soyoez rocket booster returning to earth.

It was a bright comet-like with a tail burn-up.

Did you ever see a big piece of space junk returning to Earth?

No, but I saw my mother-in-law reverse into a truck once ^_^ and that made a lot of noise. Happy Christmas PJ and Swanet.

No. Never saw anything like that.

I barely ever, even, see rain returning to Earth. :-)

Merry Christmas from warm and sunny San Diego!

The latest I heard it was the third stage of the Soyoez rocket returning a few hours early. It was expected around midnight, but this was 6.5 hours early.

This was what it looked like:

Are you serious PJ??? That would be pretty neat to see...I wonder what the odds are of witnessing something like this...you've been gifted with a pretty unique Christmas memory I think!

I am serious. We were lucky that it was the New Moon with a dark sky.

I have seen meteors burning up before; this was my first sighting of space junk.
