Croatia	Horseback Riding on the islands Posted: Thu December 15, 2011 10:16 AM UTC Hello everybody... I strongly expect that I will go sailing in Croatia in September next year...again:) I really want to go Horseback Riding on ex. Vis Island or Korcula this time. Does anybody have any experience of ideas where I can rent a horse for a day (it´s very important to me that the horses are well kept and in good condition). I've been on both islands many times but I've never seen anyone riding a horse. I guess it would be too dangerous on narrow roads, most other pathways are suitable for goats and donkeys. (Stay away from donkeys. Poor grumpy things.)

There are trekking tours on horses by the river Cetina - gorgeous landscape (I want to go rafting there again, it was absolutely fabulous!) You can dock in Omiš (omish) and ask the tour organizers to pick you up from there.
