Early breakfast in Times Square area
Posted: Thu December 8, 2011 08:00 PM UTC
Hello

We will go back for the 5th time to NY in April 2012 and we will stay in Milford Plaza hotel 700 8th avenue near Times Square.
Due to the jet lag, we will be awoke up early in the morning (around 4 or 5)the first days and it will be impossible to wait the hotel breakfast. So I am looking for a 24/7 restaurant in the neigborhood which can provide a good and cheap breakfast for the early French birds we will be.

Thanks for your tips.

There are lots of 24-hour places, but my question first is whether you are locked into the Milford Plaza, or can you cancel without penalty?

In this city there's no shortage of 24-hr. eating establishments

Look especially for the Diner-type

Near your hotel, walk up one block to 9th Avenue where you'd find a few along this avenue, two good ones:

WESTWAY DINER
Between West 44th and West 43rd Streets (on 9th Avenue)

GALAXY DINER/CAFE
on West 46th Street (on 9th Avenue)

If you stay at the Milton Plaza hotel demand, before you pay, that you get one of the renovated rooms. Great location but old hotel trying to fix itself up.

Hello
The hotel is in a package and it's already payed. We went previously in this hotel and we know it.
I noticed it was recently and partially renovated. I foresee to send a message to the hotel to ask for a renovated and quiet room (I read the comments on Tripadvisor)some weeks before the departure. Generally, my requests are taken into consideration when we are not within the high season.
Thanks to all for their answers.
