Boxtel Travel Forum

Hi - I may have the opportunity to find a job in Boxtel, but would have to move over from the UK - what's it like to live in Boxtel - would it be easy to find accomodation (single, male, 45 ) - whats the public transport like - and how easy is it to get to Boxtel from Rotterdam or Amsterdam by train?
The job would be in IT but I have not yet been told who for - do you know any major IT companies in Boxtel?

Boxtel has train/bus connections to Tilburg, Den Bosch and Eindhoven; all great nearby cities.

Eindhoven has an airport served by lost cost carriers.

I don't know Boxtel itself but I do know the region. Lots of (major) IT companies in and around Eindhoven (city of Philips). There's a technical university too.

Since you are single and possibly enjoy a lively social life, I would try to find accommodation in 's Hertogenbosch (aka Den Bosch). Lovely city, plenty of nightlife. Eindhoven is not bad either but does not have that 'old city' feel. Has great nightlife too, though.
Vught is smaller, rather upmarket.

Boxtel is in the province Noord-Brabant. It means serious carnival festivities around February. Enjoy.
