Rain Rain go Away, Come Again Some Other Day
Posted: Tue November 29, 2011 10:27 AM UTC
It's been raining ALL night and it's still raining - pouring actually. I checked to see how much our area has received this year and it's a shopping 918.3 mm of precipitation so far this year. WOW!
I'm looking for my fellow VT Peeps to cheer ole LoriPori up. I thought it would be fun to name songs with the word "RAIN" in them.
I'll start you off:

Purple Rain - Prince

Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head - B.J. Thomas

Listen to the Rhythm of the Falling Rain - Cascades

This might cheer you up.

In my neck of the woods we've had more than 2400 mm of precipitation so far in 2011. The next couple of days we'll have another 50 mm.

So like the Everly Brothers, I'll do my crying in the rain... ;)

Don't worry, Lori, just imagine yourself that in a few months, you will be sipping your tequilla in the blue skies of Boracay watching the aqua blue waters while your feet are covered with the warm white soft and talcum powdery sand of the island beach and while Hansi is running your back with warm sunblock...How does that sound?

Not at my house - hoped you were luckier! :)

BTW - we're in a serious drought where I live so feel free to send some of that rain our way! Just had the driest fall season in 141 years.

Rain on the Scarecrow - John Mellencamp who may or may not still be dating Meg Ryan. Thought I might throw in a little checkout counter magazine headlines to brighten your day.

I would trade your 918 mm of rain any time for the devastating drought and summer heat wave we have suffered through around these parts. Sounds like paradise there in Toronto.

My favorite: The Cascades - Rhythm Of The Falling Rain

Hansi may know this one as "Zachtjes tikt de regen tegen 't zolderraam".

Zachtjes tikt de regen tegen 't zolderraam".

In English that would be .

''The rain softly taps against the addict window .''

It is the addict window that brings memories back P J
You prob remember addict windows were small 2 by 3 feet or less with just a steel handle to push them up .

Very dangerous window and I could have been killed many times when that window fell on my head if the handle was not secured which happened often .

Maybe that is the reason why I am a bit ''Strange '' .

Instead of raindrops falling on my head it was addict window falling on my head .
Memories memories lots of memories .

Hansi

Het regent, het regent
Het regent dat het spat
En wie niet gauw naar binnen gaat
Die wordt kletsnat
