I would like to be Jesus. That way every time someone gets angry, I can hear my name. A lot of people call out my name but seem to ignore me. Oh well,I have to go now. A new choir is singing just now and I heard my name.

Gerard Piqué is the man Claus.
I'd like to be the taster at Lagavulin distillery on the Isle of Islay, for obvious reasons. Hic hic.

Be my-self forty years past knowing what i know now.

But the valley sheep are fatter;
We therefore deemed it meeter

Fen! glad you are back on Misc!!
I would love to have been Jerry Lee Lewis. So much energy, so much passion and so much rebellion. Besides which, he was such an entertainer.

Oh, I could run the gamut here, I would have loved to be a cancer free Bob Marley, or someone with a lot of power, but when it comes right down to it, I could have done a lot worse than being me, - but come to think of it, - I could likely be happy being Shakira's bicycle seat........d:o)
(......sorry, that was too easy.....d;o)

Love to be Queen Elizabeth I.
Just for the day, or a week, or a month and live in the late 1500s, all that politics and scheming at court, also all that opulence.
She was amazing..
of near past? Probably Colonel Valentina Tereshkova, my namesake.. First woman in space, that must have been cool...

For a day? Either King Oscar II of Sweden on one of the unnumerous openings of new railways with the following party, or the guy who put his foot on the Moon in 1969.

Lee, I agree the violin is such a beautiful instrument. However I think I would have liked to have been Frederic Chopin as the piano is my favourite. :-)

Fen, I agree, Chopin has written wonderful music, have look (listen) to J.F. Neuburger's playing of the Revolutionary Etude:
