Slovenian Spas
Posted: Fri November 25, 2011 10:26 AM UTC
I would like to spend a relaxing weekend in a Slovenian Spa. I've already been to Moravske toplice, Topolšica and Zrece, now I would like to try some place I haven't been yet. I've read all sort of websites and rewievs about the Slovenian spas, but I am still sooo undecided which to choose. I would like to try one of these: Radenci (Hotel Izvir), Rogaška (Hotel Styria), Catež (Hotel Terme) or Šmarješke toplice (Hotel Vital). Pictures in the hotel websites are all so promising, but often it turns out that reality is different... I'm basically looking for a good hotel with nice spa (whirpools, swimmingpools etc.).
So, can anyone help me by suggesting me which of the spas mentioned above is worth a visit?
Thank you in advance!

Hi
I can't tell you anything about Šmarješke toplice.
Hotel Terme in Čatež, as I’ve heard, rooms were renovated. I was there before that. Even than I have no major resentment. There you should visit Olimje (http://www.olimje.net/slo/index.php).
Almost equal is with Radin in Radenci.
Styria has a ‘scent of aristocrats.’ I will recommend Rogaška anyway. Because of their promenade in front of the hotel which is full of flowers (spring is recommended). There was a small orchestra playing on. You have complete spa treatment there (as in both others) plus medical care in nearest centre.

Rimske terme are beautiful too. They were renovated, but be careful because as I’ve heard they have some financial difficulties. It means don’t pay anything in advance :)
