do not take the train to bled. the station is quite far. there might be a locker storage at the bus station but best is that you contact the bled tourist organisation, they might be able to help you:

i was browsing a bit in slovenian, but couldnt find any info on bled, only on ljubljana.

I don't think there are any left luggage places in Bled either. Definitely go to Bled on the bus not the train. The bus to Bled leaves from outside Ljubljana railway station.

Bus timetables here:

You can leave your bags at Ljubljana railway station, which might be a solution:

Neither the bus station in Ljubljana where you catch the Bled bus nor Bled 'bus station' are actually buildings; they are simply areas.

Thank you both very much!
We were thinking too of taking the bus.But not being able to leave the luggages somewhere would be a major problem, you see we won't return back to Ljubljana but continue our way to Nova Gorica(from where we ll enter Italy).
So I guess the idea of visiting Bled for a few hours wont work.
I ll try to contact the tourist information center in Bled, maybe the can help.
Thanks for the links and everything!

I've no ideas about your plans for Bled, but if your visit is about the sights around the lake, then I believe train stop could be just fine.

Yes, train station is located at the far end of the lake and it's rather far from the town with its castle, cafes, restaurants, shops...

But if your plan is to walk around the lake (there's a lovely path around it and it takes one hour and a half or so to finish it) with a stop for a drink or something and if you don't intend to visit castle or church on the island or any other sights around, then a stop at the train station should fit great in your plans.

You can leave your luggage at the railway station (till last train at around 7PM) or you could ask at the nearby bar, I'm sure they'd be glad to assist you.

Hello Peter and thanks for your reply. Our thought was to visit Bled for 5-6 hours, the lake of course and the town also. For is a priority to find a place for luggages,so if you are sure that inside the train station its possible we prefer use the train and then find a way to enter the town(there must be a local bus).Unfortunately there are not many tourist pages about Bled with this kind of details(not in VT but generally the web).So we still haven't decide want to do.We do want to visit but if it's not convience we'll have to skip.

I have actualy called the railway station yesterday and the guy said no problem with the luggage. I did ask about one piece though so I can't guarantee you'll be fine with a big load. Tell me estimates of times and luggage (on VTmail if you prefer privacy) and I can give them another call.

You see, I don't remember any storage room at the station and I'd say officials would store it in their office. Slovenian trains are rarely crowded (apart from school kids at certain hours) and officials tend to be rather helpful, but they don't enjoy being taken advantage of.

That path around the lake is IMO the best thing to do in Bled, especially if weather is nice. It's some 7km long and it takes around one hour and a half to finish it - add some more time if you've got kids or elders with you or if you plan to stop for some rest, photos, drinks etc. It's flat and it doesn't require lots of stamina. It passes just below the railway station (so there's no need for any bus or shuttle which I'm afraid aren't there anyway), by the town's touristic center (with most of hotels and restaurants) and you get to see all the sights of the castle, island and everything else.

The town itself is rather small and there isn't a lot to see that isn't by the walking path already. Well, there's castle and church on the island and I heard they're nicely restored, but I never bothered to visit them; guess I've seen enough churches and castles in the past :)
