Hi! What is the weather like in Maspalomas in February? What is the best place in the Canaries for the winter holidays? Have a nice day!

yes saw it on TVE sat but mostly the biggy was at Hierro and off the ocean, needed evacuation, but, ALL the islands are volcanic, including the biggest mountain in Spain Teide in Tenerife is a volcano. In fact, 3rd largest island in the world=volcanic variety

and the beaches are a dream lol!

All the islands have "eternal spring" I believe. Sometimes one side of the island has significantly better weather than the other side because of the mountains.

So depending on your wishes you could pick any of them...

I've been to Lanzarote (great volcanic landscapes), Gran Canaria and La Palma (more quiet, great for hiking). See my VT pages for more info if you want...

Cheers,
Dennis

The best weather in February, we had in Gran Canaria (Maspalomas), though not all of all two weeks! In Lanzarote we had rain and cold weather during carnival. In Tenerife we've had all kinds of weather, even a whole week of grey in the midst of summer.
In brief: you need a bit of luck in the Canary Islands. That's why we stopped going there.
