Apart from checking the train prices (it's a good idea), wait for a while, in Feb/March you may have a better idea about plane prices.

The price depends on which train you will chose. Express train costs 119,50 PLN (first class 155,50 PLN), Inter Regio costs 54 PLN (only the second class).

Re: Stockholm - Warsaw Posted: Mon November 14, 2011 02:38 PM UTC
do you think the prices for plane tickets will go down?
Now along today's prices it will cost for us 4 persons in our family more than 900 Euro. Compared with before it is more than before, but of course compared with other companies as Lot, and others (don't know which other companies that flies to Warsaw) compared with their prices it is of course not much. but compared with Wizzair's and Ryanair's regular prices it is more than usual....

Hello!
"Next summer" that's a little vague but if you can make it in the beginning of August, after the football tournament, you might consider going via Katowice? You can get tickets to Katowice for as little as 299SEK each and if you join their Wizz Xclusive Club, also for 299SEK (for a year), you can have a 100SEK reduction on every ticket which makes you have already earned 100SEK on the first trip.
Disadvantage in this case (going via Katowice) is the arrival time at 23.35 and then the bus into town, so a hotel over the night and train to Warsaw in the morning is needed. There are very good connections and I can assure the little more expensive trains like Express InterCity are very good quality. A direct train will take about 2h 50min in most cases.
Regards Lars.

Hello again!
You could try AirBaltic, they seem to have very low fares in July according to their homepage: http://www.airbaltic.com/public/lagpriskalender.html
Not every date shows the fares but many dates show fares around 50 Euro each way.
I flew AirBaltic to Istanbul from Stockholm, no problems at all, but you always have to change planes in Riga since that is theis base.
Regards Lars.

Thanks but we must fly with Wizzair as we have tickets already there that we could not use last year, we only have to decide a special date.
