Thinking about going from Annecy into Italy (Aosta) and then up to switzerland. Is going by train best, or car? (Wondering if I could rent a car in Aosta and dro it off in Switzerland). Would this be very expensive?
Any suggestions? THANKS. |

Unfortunately, even if I know Valle d'Aosta very well, I cant help you that much... I have my car so I'm not aware about renting one in Aosta and dropping it in Swiss. I don't know even the connections by train to Aosta (I know from Milan, not from abroad, maybe the italian website www.trenitalia.it tells something...). Anyway, I'm replying for giving you a suggestion.... if you are in Valle d'Aosta don't absolutely miss a skiing somewhere (Gressoney/Champoluc and La Thuile are my favourite there) Ciao, Marco

Hi - Thanks for your response. Do you know anything about The Great St. Bernard Pass? (either by car or train/bus?) How is the driving? How long would it take?
