| Burgas | Public transport between Burghaz and Istanbul Posted: Wed February 4, 2004 01:54 PM UTC
In may this year I will be backpacking along the Black Sea coast of Romania and Bulgaria to Istanbul. I actually would like to visit one of the coasttal villages south of Burghaz, but I heard that it will be hard to hitch hike from there to the Turkish border. Is it true that there are only few cars along the coast to the southern border? Are there any busses on this way or should I better take the train?

Hey, this response is really late but...
Yes, it will probably be hard to hitch to the border from one of the southern villages. Your life will be much simpler to take the bus or train from Burgas. You can hitch to the small village of your choice, then hitch back to Burgas and take bus or train. enjoy.

Thanks for the useful tip. No it's not too late, I will leave to Bulgaria on the 24th of April so I still have some time to prepare. Greetz!
