June/july/august in most places.

In the ski resorts it´s from november till march though.

MIDDLE of August is the end of the vacations for schools and that is also the end of the summerseason for many places, especially inlands.
Many stave-churches, openair-museums etc. will be eighter totally locked untill end of May next year, OR they might be open just for a few hours on the weekends only.
The Passroad to Dalsnibba (above Geiranger) will be closed after Sept. 15th etc.
In Bergen, Trondheim, Olso and such big cities that will be different, BUT as soon as you travel overland, even the large mountain-hotels will be closing mid of August in many places.

Depends on your activity. There is a season for everything in Norway, and it also depends on what part of Norway you are interested in. Outdoor activity is all year around. When the snow arrives, you just change your hiking boots with skiis
