| Cayo Guillermo | plug compatability Posted: Sun February 1, 2004 12:48 PM UTC
Hi,
I'm about to go to Cayo Guillermo for two weeks and will be taking my portable computer along. I've bought a 220 volt converter, but I need to know -- WHAT KIND OF PLUG ADAPTOR DO I NEED TO FIT INTO THE WALL SOCKET? (I am staying at Melia's Sol Club Cayo Guillermo. Are its plugs compatable with ours, or are they compatible with Spanish sockets -- or another altogether? Thanks for the advice. One other thing, the 220 v converter I got is for 85 watts; Radio Shack also sells one for 50 watts; I'm guessing the 85 watt is safest for a laptop -- a 1998 Macintosh ibook. Correct me if I'm wrong.) Cheers, Allan |

Hi,
The sockets are the european two round pin type at 220 Volts.
