| Eidfjord | Norseman triathlon Posted: Sun January 25, 2004 07:21 PM UTC
My friend and I will be competing in the above event on August 7th.I am looking for the most suitable route to get to Eidfjord.Ferry to Bergen will take too long and will mean being away from my family for over a week so it looks like flight to Bergen or Oslo and then train or bus.
Can anybody recommend either or do you know of a better route? Also accomodation in Eidfjord as there only seems to be one hotel. |

I know there are at least three hotels in Eidfjord
Fossli Hotel (near Vøringsfossen, http://www.fossli-hotel.com) Quality Hotel Vøringsfoss (http://www.eidfjord-hardanger.no) Eidfjord Hotell (http://www.eidfjordhotel.no) There's also a lot of pension houses. A Have a brief visit at http://www.eidfjordinfo.com/index_n.asp?lang=2&cat=24 and you'll see some. I'd think that the best way of getting to Eidfjord is probably from Bergen. Ask the hotels: They ought to know. Jon

Bus from Bergen. By car it takes about an hour - an hour and a half. A little more by bus....
Best, David
