Short trip to Lalibela

Could anyone please advise me how I can do a short trip from Addis Ababa to Lalibela I am a bit older and no longer into trekking..cheers From Australia

Hi. I was about to do the same trip when I was in Addis, but changed my mind when I heard about the long bus trip. The minibus leaves in the morning and arrives in the evening. I think you should try Ethiopian airlines ADD-LLI. It's a direct route.

No longer into trekking. . . . and there are no direct buses to Lalibela, and if you like to go by road, be prepared to a long (one day) trip with mini (medium) buses.
If you like comfort and are ready to skip the beautiful mountain landscapes, you can take Ethiopian airlines, they have a flight at least once a day.
The very good news is: if you arrive from overseas with Ethiopian airlines (Europe, Asia) you pay half price on the domestic lines! I suggest you consider a flight via Bangkok or Hong Kong.
