From Coca to Nueva Rocafuerte, exist aproximantly 10 or 12 hours. The cost of the passage is $15. You can travel Monday and Wesnday at 07:00.
You can travel from Quito to lago Agrio in Tame www.tame.com.ec, and from Lago Agrio to Coca (Francisco de Orellana) in bus (2 hours in a good ways).

To get from Quito to Coca, there's no reason to involve Lago Agrio...there are buses and flights from Quito to Coca on TAME or Icaro, several times per day. There's also a relatively clean motel in Nuevo Roca Fuerte. There is also a river collectivo (or there was last year) that makes a once a month trip from Pantoja (the Peruvian border) to Iquitos. And, I believe they've added an immigration office on at least the Peruvian border side. To shorten the trip by about a 1/2 day, unload when you reach Mazan and you can take a motocycle "chariot" across a peninsula to the Amazon and catch a speed boat collective for less that $5 to Iquitos.
