Do I need a full diver license?

If I would like to dive deep in Pulau Sipadan, do I need a full diver license?

How long do I need to take a course for it? one week? or one month?

Anyone know about any cheap diving courses in sabah?

You do need a license to dive. I do believe these two companies conduct dive course leading a license.

you should have your license before getting to sipadan. After that noone cares. I was safing people under water, while the Divemaster just went his normal route. Also if you have a license, you need more experiance to dive spots like sipadan! (600m wall)

You must have a buddy. Its always a requirement to dive in pairs or more.

well that shouldn't be a problem. You'll find someone at the divecenter. Still you need experiance.
If you don't have a buddy, you can still make 3 boat dives with the divemaster. 3 dives a day can be enough. :)
