running routes

I'll be in Canberra in February 2004. Anyone know of any great running routes that are centrally located and scenic? As few cars and sidewalks as possible. I'm looking for 10 - 15 km routes.

Canberra is one big running/bike track.

There are places to run everywhere in the main city, round Lake Burley Griffin is nice, its huge. You will have no trouble finding places to run off the main roads.

You will however have trouble finding any people, Canberra is a very empty city, for some reason there are hardly any people in the main city, at any time.

Hope your have fun.

Lake Burley Griffin is your best bet, it is flat, quiet and depending on what time of the day, not many people.
The track goes all around the lake, over to the new museum and under black mountain. I would say that all the way around would have to be at least 30km
happy running
